Prevention and hygiene

The removal of dental deposit

Every person has come across a situation when you try really hard to keep your home clean and tidy every day but you have to spring-clean from time to time anyway. One could draw a parallel here with everyday tooth brushing and professional dental hygiene.

Air-Flow

Air-Flow method is used to remove hard yellowish and dark-grey deposits on teeth, braces and implants that cannot be removed with an ordinary toothbrush when tooth-brushing. This is a mandatory procedure which is carried out before tooth bleaching using chemicals.

Teeth enamel restoration, fluoride treatment.

Enamel restoration is the system of deep fluoride treatment of teeth with the fluorine-containing drugs. The procedure is aimed at the enamel and hard tooth tissue strengthening.

Oral cavity hygiene.

The specialists of Smile Dental Center help each of their patients to choose oral cavity hygiene means individually. The clinic offers display cases with dental hygiene products of a well-known "32shop", where one can see each sample for themselves.

Therapy

Tooth decay.

Tooth decay treatment in modern dentistry no longer means routine removal of affected tissues and the filling of the defect with a filling material.

Dental restoration.

The foundation of the modern dental restorative therapy is aesthetic tooth restoration. Aesthetic tooth restoration is based on the reconstruction of the natural shape of teeth, their color structure, transparency and other optical and physical properties.

Root canal treatment.

If decaying process is at an advanced stage when it has already affected neurovascular fascicle (the so-called pulp), root canal therapy is unavoidable. It involves the removal of the pulp and further sealing of the root canals. The success of the treatment in this case depends on the quality of the root canal sealing.

Adhesive bridge.

Adhesive bridge has become one of the latest achievements in the aesthetic dentistry. Complex restoration called adhesive bridge is used far more often than dental bridge to replace a single missing tooth in tooth alignment.

Tooth decay treatment without drilling.

Is treating tooth decay without drilling a myth? No! It’s a reality everyone who is taking care of their teeth can afford! Advanced technology of tooth treatment called Icon lets treat tooth decay on the early stages without touching tooth structure with a drill. It means that the enamel integrity remains intact.

Hot gutta-percha.

Root canal therapy is the most difficult and unpredictable procedure in dentistry. Limited visual control is the problem for even experienced endodontist. The task of a specialist providing root canal therapy is to treat instrumentally and seal all the tooth root canals thoroughly. To fulfill the tasks of modern root canal therapy there are a lot of new gadgets and devices:

Microscope root canal treatment.

Modern dentistry cannot be imagined without high tech equipment and thorough approach to work. Modern root treatment without using a microscope is difficult to imagine nowadays, microscope has become an irreplaceable standard in the high-quality root canal surgery.

Aesthetic dentistry

Aesthetic dental restoration.

Aesthetic tooth restoration (artistic tooth restoration) is required when tooth enamel gets darker, teeth are chipped, disfigured or deformed.

Veneers, lumineers.

Veneers are cardboard thin layers of material bonded on the external tooth surface concealing such tooth defects as yellowing, unevenness, irregular shape, chips or malposition.

Metal-free ceramics.

Aesthetic dentistry has amazed the whole world with the invention of metal-free ceramics, which is used in veneer, inlay, crown and even bridge fabrication.

Tooth whitening.

Our teeth are under the constant influence of various coloring agents, present in food, drinks, drugs, tobacco and beauty products. As a result teeth become discolored. Coloring agents may get deposited on the surface or penetrate the hard tissues of the tooth. Very often the reason for the discoloration is tooth injury or its endodontic treatment (root canal treatment) as well as tooth

Dental adornment.

Today's Skyce tooth jewelry is modern, stylish and topical, it literally adds glitter to you natural smile.Dental jewelry attracts attention to your smile with its unusual glitter and helps you to express your individuality in full.

Smile aesthetics.

Every person dreams about a beautiful and harmonious smile. A smile is our business card, it's what a person we are talking to, our friends, coworkers, and of course our beloved see first. Nothing makes a person more attractive than a harmonious smile. But if nature gave a person imperfect teeth, they will need specialists' team help.

Prosthetics

Crowns, bridges.

Dental crowns are the "caps" that imitate the tooth's shape. Dental crowns cap and encircle teeth, reconstructing their shape, size and durability, making them look more attractive. The crowns are bonded to the tooth using dental cement, hiding the visible part of the tooth below and above the gum line.

Dental posts.

Dental posts allow hundreds of thousands of people every year to get a possibility to restore badly damaged teeth and their biting and chewing functions. It means that their health and standard of life will improve as well because they will get an opportunity to keep to a balanced diet consuming fresh fruit and coarse food.

Removable dentures.

Modern removable laminar denture (except clasp dental prosthesis) is not fundamentally different from the old one. It has the same appearance as the grandmother's old prosthetics. The difference is that you don't have to put your laminar denture in water for the night.

Flexible dentures.

Flexible dentures (flexible nylon dentures, acetal resin dentures) are the answer to the majority of the problems the patients experience when getting partial dentures or removable dentures.

Zirconium dioxide.

Advanced zirconium-based crowns are taking place of ordinary metal and porcelain crowns. The advantage of this combination is natural translucency of the crown, which makes it possible to successfully copy a natural tooth. Zirconium dioxide is rightfully called white gold in dentistry, because such crowns are biocompatible with mouth tissues.

Implant prosthetics.

Dental prosthetics keep up with the modern dental technologies. Just a few years ago most people were suffering from the discomfort associated with removable dentures or dental bridges, which required grinding healthy teeth away. Implant is the solution to these problems

Prosthodontic treatment using face-bow.

Modern prosthodontic treatment is impossible to imagine without using a face-bow or an articulator. This is not a new material or treatment technology. These are the things which are indispensable in prosthodontics. Every prostheses, from a single crown to complex prosthetic procedures, should be made considering the anatomy of a dental apparatus.

Dentistry for children

Fissure sealing.

Tooth decay prevention is of utmost importance in saving healthy teeth.Fissure sealing with dental sealants is effective for the prevention of the initial stages of tooth decay. Sealants are placed on all the hard-to-reach, deep tooth surfaces.

Baby teeth treatment.

Children's tooth decay differs from that of adults. Milk teeth have very thin enamel, especially in the areas between the teeth and at the gum margins, bacteria from plaque can easily get to the dentin. Dentin is the main tooth tissue. It is much softer than enamel and is destroyed more rapidly, so decayed baby teeth do not look so bad for the time being.

Myofunctional trainers.

It is advisable to start treating malocclusion immediately, as soon as the problem is detected. Malocclusion can cause not only aesthetic problems (disproportionate jaw, crooked tooth alignments, etc.), but also periodontic problems, tooth and gum damage, tooth decay, tooth abrasion, face and neck pain, chronic migraines and even gastrointestinal tract diseases.

Occlusion treatment in children.

In most cases, the ideal age for orthodontic treatment is from 10 to 12 years. The child grows actively during this period, and medical intervention is the most effective, leading to fast and favorable results. However, in some situations, such as narrowing of dental arches, significant outrunning growth of one of the jaws, etc

Hinz' plates.

Modern scholars are 100% sure that there is a link between bad habits and malocclusion. It is especially important not to overlook bad habits in childhood, when facial bones, jaws and bite are actively developing. There are many methods how to eliminate bad habits, but the most effective one aimed at the proper bite formation is Hinz' plates.

Orthodontics

Malocclusion treatment.

Malocclusion is not only aesthetic problem; malocclusion causes numerous gum and oral cavity diseases. The causes of malocclusion development are heredity, chronic diseases, bad habits, premature extraction of baby teeth, inborn toothlessness.

Dental braces.

Do you dream of having an even tooth alignment, are you tired of covering your smile? It is time you started wearing braces.
Today more than ever Hollywood smile cult defines our lifestyle, and wearing braces has become a symbol of prosperity, wealth and desire for success.

Posterior (distal) occlusion.

Posterior occlusion is one of the most complex ones in terms of orthodontic treatment. The most difficult thing is that few dentists know how to treat distal occlusion. In the overwhelming number of cases, orthodontists insist on the removal of upper jaw teeth to treat this type of malocclusion.

Anterior occlusion.

Anterior bite or progeny is characterized by upper jaw body underdevelopment, protruding lower jaw and chin. Teeth overlap in reverse, that is, upper teeth overlap lower teeth. The signs of anterior bite are so conspicuous that it cannot be confused with any other pathology.

Deep occlusion.

Deep bite belongs to a group of vertical anomalies. Deep bite has very characteristic, pronounced symptoms in the mouth. It is characterized by a significant overlap of the upper front teeth over lower ones and the absence of cutting and cuspal interference between them.

Abocclusion.

Abocclusion is one of the most difficult bites in terms of orthodontic treatment. Abocclusion is characterized by non-joining of front or lateral teeth. In the past years orthodontists strongly refused to treat abocclusion, because they lacked the knowledge and possibilities.

Cross-bite occlusion.

Cross-bite occlusion is characterized by a wrong (reverse) overlap of the upper teeth against the lower teeth. Cross-bite can occur on one or both sides, in front or lateral part of the jaws. Patients with cross bite find it nearly impossible to eat properly and adequately as they can chew food only using one side of the mouth.

Direct occlusion.

Many patients and doctors do not consider direct bite to be a pathology, but only as long as the patient's teeth do not turn into an evenly flat worn-out platforms. Direct bite is characterized by zero overlapping of anterior teeth, whereas normal upper teeth should overlap lower teeth by 1/3 of their crown length.

Dental crowding.

Dental crowding is not just a cosmetic flaw. Dental crowding is sure to give you gum and other periodontal tissue problems. Crowded and misplaced teeth are particularly vulnerable to decay due to the constant plaque accumulation. In this case, we have a kind of a vicious circle: plaque causes tooth decay and inflammation of the gums due to dental crowding.

Adontia (edentia, anodontia).

Adontia is complete or partial absence of teeth. Adontia can occur at any age, which means in milk, mixed or permanent occlusion. In other words, the patient who is missing at least one tooth is diagnosed with adontia. Teeth can be removed because of dental diseases or not erupt at all. Logically, edentulous patients should be referred to a prosthetist, i.e. an orthopedic dentist, to restore the dentition continuity.

How to maintain an orthodontic result.

Maintaining the result is an important stage of orthodontic treatment completion. Your treatment is not complete immediately after taking-off the braces, you have to continue your orthodontic treatment. There are various options how to maintain the result after taking-off the braces: dental splinting, retainer fabrication, flexible trays, trainers, etc.

Mouth-guard tooth straightening.

Then your solution is to visit an orthodontist to get an invisible tooth straightening mouth-guard. Transparent mouth-guards will help you to get a perfect smile without wearing braces. There is no enamel damage, poor hygiene, rubbing mucous membrane by braces elements.

Diastema, trema.

Diastema is a visible space between the central incisors. It is believed that diastema adds certain charm to a person, but many do not like such a special appeal.

Additional teeth in orthodontics.

Additional teeth in the mouth require orthodontic correction. In this case an orthodontist has to meet the major challenge, deciding whether to remove or not to remove an additional tooth. Since correct occlusion means a complete set of teeth, it is obvious that an additional tooth will have to be removed.

Orthodontic prosthetic pretreatment.

In the modern world a person may get to know that they need orthodontic treatment when they are 40 or 50 years old. When young a lot of people didn't treat malocclusions, and there were few specialists who understood orthodontics in the past . And when it comes to crowning a tooth or making dentures, it turns out that a dentist cannot accomplish this task because of the patient's malocclusion. Only natural teeth can be crooked and misplaced.

Impacted tooth.

Impacted teeth are the teeth that could not erupt on their own in due time and in the correct position in the tooth alignment. Impacted teeth are most often diagnosed by means of orthopantomography. They can be identified by an orthodontist or an attentive dentist. In all the circumstances, there is a need for an X-ray image.

Lingual braces.

That's right, no one but you and your dentist will notice that you have such a miracle in your mouth. We don't mean aesthetic braces that are virtually invisible to others, we are talking about the braces that are not bonded to the tooth front surface at all. In contrast to conventional vestibular braces

Surgery

Wisdom tooth extraction.

Modern dentistry in many cases allows avoiding tooth extractions, unfortunately sometimes it is necessary to extract teeth.
Tooth extraction surgery should be done only as a last resort, when all other methods to save the tooth are impossible, or when the tooth can cause other, more serious complications.

Cyst removal.

A tooth cyst is a pathological cavity filled in the majority of cases with liquid. The wall of the cyst (bubble) of the tooth consists of a thin layer of cells that produce fluid and inflate a tooth cyst like a balloon.
Dental cysts are different in origin and causes of their formation, but most often dentists deal with radicular cyst.

Tooth removal.

The task of every dentist is to "save and hold in the mouth" each percentage of tooth viability and integrity. But there are cases when a tooth requires removal, for example:

Atypical removal.

Tooth removal is the most extreme treatment method in the oral cavity. Extraction is carried out when the vital capacity of the tooth is not suitable for further function, that is chewing, occlusion retention and space saving for the further construction. Often atypical removals involve wisdom teeth.

Tooth preserving operations.

Modern dental technology and experienced professionals can offer a wide range of services aimed at preserving your teeth. Despite the craze for implants, a sane person understands that the best implant is a natural tooth. Modern surgical practice makes it possible to save even severely damaged teeth

Labial and lingual frenectomy.

Labial or lingual frenectomy is an outpatient surgery, which is performed in modern dental clinics. A baby may require frenectomy right after being born, in the maternity hospital, as a baby may have difficulty latching to the mother's breast. Some time later, when the child begins to speak, a speech therapist or orthodontist may refer a child to a frenectomy.

Periodontology

Periodontal diseases.

Periodontium refers to the tissue surrounding the tooth: gum, periodontal ligament, alveolar bone. Few people know that the main cause of periodontal diseases is periodontitis blood supply disturbance. There are numerous causes for the disturbance because any disorder in the body affects blood vessels.

Dental splinting.

Dental splinting is one of the methods in periodontal disease treatment, which allows reducing the probability of tooth loss (extraction).

Vector therapy.

Vector therapy is a minimally invasive procedure aimed at the periodontitis treatment. It is the most gentle and yet effective periodontal disease treatment at the moment. Vector therapy may be used alone or in combination with surgical treatment methods.

Surgical treatment of periodontal disease.

Periodontitis treatment is a complex and long process, and given the fact that more than half of the Earth’s inhabitants suffer from periodontitis, the issue of periodontitis treatment is relevant and urgent. If conservative periodontitis treatment methods cannot direct the process to a chronic form, periodontists resort to surgical periodontitis treatment

PerioChip

PerioChip Periochip - an innovation in the treatment of periodontal disease by Israeli developers. We all know that periodontal disease can not be cured completely, and all the efforts of the doctor should be directed at addressing the acute process. But what if the disease progresses, there were deep periodontal pockets and a standard regimen does not work in sufficient volumes. In this case, for deep periodontal pockets can offer PerioChip Perio Chip.

But still, moms shouldn’t forget about their own health and all the problems that arose during pregnancy need to be solved as quickly as possible.

Implantology

Implantation.

It is not always possible to restore a tooth alignment using regular prosthesis. It is dangerous to restore significant dental defects (3-4 missing teeth or more) using fixed dentures. In such cases masticatory stress on the abutment teeth becomes excessive and affects dental abutment ligamentous apparatus destructively.

Sinus lift.

Sinus lift is a surgical intervention in the upper jaw, in which the bottom of the maxillary sinus is raised artificially by filling it with bone material. Sinus lift is recommended to patients who want to have dental implants in the upper jaw, but their bone height in the lateral part of the maxilla is inadequate.

Preparation for dental implants.

Dental implantation is an advanced innovation in oral surgery, in terms of dental prosthetics and the restoration of lost teeth. The use of dental implants makes it possible to restore masticatory function. Moreover, engineering creativity of the implant creators gives a patient the feeling of a natural tooth, allowing them to smile again without feeling uncomfortable when using the prosthesis
